The transition to senior school is a significant milestone in your child’s educational journey, and our Next Steps Programme begins in Year 4 to guide pupils and parents through this process.

Our Interim Head, Ms Cook, provides personalised support to navigate school options and admissions, ensuring families feel informed and confident. Whilst, our Next Steps Coordinator, Ms Kovacs, collates references to effectively showcase your child’s unique achievements to prospective schools.

We host a Senior Schools Fair with representatives from over 25 schools, allowing families to explore options and understand each school’s ethos. Additionally, we offer interview practice to help pupils articulate their thoughts and boost their confidence for admissions interviews.

Throughout the year, we also conduct pre-ISEB training for the ISEB Pre-Tests, essential for admissions to many leading independent schools. The ISEB Pre-Tests are a series of four online, adaptive and shared entrance assessments used as part of the admissions process to many of the UK’s leading independent schools.

For those invited to participate, our Pathways Programmes (academic, sport, music, drama, art and swimming) are an exclusive, stretching initiative designed to challenge and develop our pupils aiming to apply for a scholarship at their chosen senior school.
